Gisaburo Sugii was the Nine: Kanketsuhen special director who relied on Nine by Mitsuru Adachi. Mitsuru Adachi began working on it after finishing Itsumo Misora, Jinbe and Katsu!. The music is written by Hiroaki Serizawa who also wrote music for Hiatari Ryoko TV. The anime is filmed as a romance.
